Funding Your Education
Procedure For Charter Funded Families
We are a pre-approved vendor for major networks, making it easy to add Afficient to your learning plan. Currently, we are an approved vendor for Ocean Grove, Sky Mountain, and Horizon Charter Schools. We will continue to apply and become approved vendors in other Charter schools.
Since Afficient Academy is already an approved vendor for networks like Ocean Grove, Sky Mountain, and Horizon, parents can use their annual instructional funds to cover the cost.
Verify Vendor Status:
The parent should confirm that Afficient Academy is listed in their specific charter's vendor directory.
Consult the Education Specialist (ES):
The parent meets with their assigned ES or Homeschool Teacher (HST) to discuss how Afficient Math, English, or SAT Prep aligns with the student’s learning goals.
Submit a Purchase Request:
The parent submits a request through the charter’s internal portal (such as the IEM or Horizon portal), providing the program name, link, and cost.
Wait for the Purchase Order (PO):
The charter school reviews and approves the request, then generates a formal PO or voucher and sends it to Afficient Academy.
Enrollment Confirmation:
Once Afficient receives the PO, they process it (typically within 1–2 business days) and send an enrollment confirmation email to the parent.
CRITICAL RULE:
Lessons should not begin until the PO is officially issued. Charter schools generally will not retroactively pay for sessions attended.

Learning Flexibility: Online or in-person
Afficient Learning Center at San Jose, CA
Students can learn 100% online or attend our corporate learning center in San Jose, CA.
Students who do not live within the driving distance of our San Jose learning center can choose our online learning option.
Students learning online can attend online Q&A sessions to clarify their doubts and request help from learning center instructors available online on Zoom.
Besides the Q&A sessions, we also offer 'Supervised Learning Sessions' which require advanced reservation. A trained instructor will be available to help at the scheduled time.
In-Person: Visit our distraction-free learning center for structured instruction and help from our local instructors.
Center Open Hours:
The center is open for classes on Tuesdays-Fridays from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. It remains closed on Sundays and public holidays.
